Meet the Montoye's!!!!

This past Sunday, I had the pleasure of shooting a very special family. I have known the Montoye's for forever. My dad and Mark grew up together as kids and still hang out today. For the longest time my dad and I have had a Monday night tradition. We have been going over to their house for Monday night football since I was like 6 or 7. When I went off to college I never made it back for Monday night football. However, this year I have been driving up every Monday and going over to their house to watch a little ball. But things have changed in the couple years I have been gone. They are now proud parents of a cute, rambunctious little boy named Major. So, now my Monday nights are filled with books and letters. He LOVES his letters. He's a smart little tyke. So, I was more than thrilled when Mona asked me to take some family photos. I had a blast on this shoot even if it was really cold outside! lol. We shot inside their beautiful house, down on the lake, and everywhere in between. So... Mark, Mona, Brandi, & Major.... I hope you enjoy these photos!!!

Hannah is 9 months!!!!

So miss Hannah (aka Monkey) is 9 months now. I am such a proud aunt!! I can't believe it has been that long ago since she was born. She is getting to be such a little stinker with her own personality. She is crawling now and man does she move fast. Hannah is such a cutie but she is even sweeter. Those chubby cheeks and those little belly rolls are to die for. Here are a few pics that we shot for her 9 months. I snuck a few of Austin in there as well. Enjoy!

These boots are made for walking.....

Best session ever!!!!!!!!!! Okay, so I have been so excited about doing this bridal! First off, I just want to say thank you to Linzie for being the most awesome bride. She was always cool, calm, and collect and just rolled with the punches. We couldn't get to the bridal before the wedding due to weather but, I actually think it worked out MUCH better this way. I am going to suggest doing bridals after the wedding for now on. 1. You are no longer stressed out about the wedding. 2. You don't have to worry so much about getting your dress dirty. and 3. You are much more adventurous!
Well, I had told Linzie to bring some things like shoes or hats or anything she wanted to use and she did! The boots she is wearing are her mother's that she and her sister use to oget in trouble for wearing when they were little. She also wore her grandmother's jewlery and the hat was her grandfather's! SO not only did they make for neat pictures, they also have a lot of meaning behind them.
We shot in several locations. First we shot on her uncle's farm with horses and cows, then we moved to a field where we had several admirers honk as they drove by, and then we ended up at the garden. This session was sooo fun and I cannot wait to do more like it! Thanks Linzie for being so easy going and adventurous!!!!! Hope you LOVE the photos cause I do!!!!

Family and Friends

I love it when I shoot families! Even better, I got to shoot 2 families that are really good friends. It was so fun and effortless. Nikki and Jerry have 2 boys (Dawson and Gavyn) and Cieanna and Brad have Lucas. I just watched the little ones play and interact with each other and thought to myself "I love my job." Now, it's not always the easiest to contain the attention of 3 year olds but I think we were pretty successful. They were just sooo cute. I truly do love my job!!!!

Meet Reagan!

Okay, I want to start off by saying that I have never gotten so much excercise from one shoot! Reagan is almost 2, very energetic and always on the move. He was soo much fun to shoot. Not only did he have the sweetest smile but his baby blues make you melt. Watch out for Mr Reagan ladies, cause he is going to break hearts! The shoot started off at railroad tracks. We were trying to shoot in the leaves, but he wanted nothing but to play in the rocks! He kept picking up rocks and bringing them to me. (so sweet) We then went to a cotton field where he played with his dump truck. I literally had to chase him down in order to take some pics! It was the funniest thing ever. Reagan was also very aware of the camera and decided it best NOT to look at it. So I did my best to capture what I could. I have to say that I think I captured some of the sweetest moments with this little tyke! I also wanted to say a quick thanks to his mom, Lauren, for being oh so patient!!! At the end of the shoot I pulled Reagan in his little red wagon while we retrieved his toys that he ran half a mile down the road. haha He was just sooo cute as he sat content riding down the little dirt road!

An Amazing Day

This past weekend, I shot a wedding that was amazing in so many ways. The day started off kinda crazy but it isn't a wedding until there is some kind of craziness thrown into the mix. But Linzie was cool, calm, and collect. She handled everything thrown her way like a pro. From people being late to zippers being broken. But said and done, Linzie and Steven's day was amazing. I got to experience something amazing and I owe it to Linzie. The church that my grandparents got married in burned down but they built another church right next to it. I had never known that part of the one that burned down still stood until Linzie told me. So, when we pulled up to the church my eyes teared up. I lost my grandfather this summer and it meant that much more to me. As we took pictures inside the old church I recognized it from my grandparent's wedding pictures. I was so happy that I got see where my grandparents started their life. So Linzie, I just wanted to say thank you for that small little gift. The picture I am posting is in front of the church that burned. I hope you find it as beautiful as I do.

Lauren and Chealen!

This past sunday I had a session with 2 very special people. My husband and I have known Lauren and Chealen for the past 4 years. Lauren was one of my sorority sisters and also one of my roommates and Chealen is one of my Husband's fraternity brothers. So, it is really neat to see them engaged and about to get married! Lauren and Chealen have been dating for quite sometime (since early high school I think). So it is my duty to say..... About time!!!!!! lol. When talking to Lauren about what kind of pictures she and Chealen wanted she requested shooting in the fall for the colors. So I knew I wanted to take them to Monte Sano Mountain! It's absolutely beautiful this time of year. When starting the shoot I wasn't sure how it was going to go but I did know it was going ot be interesting. Through out the entire shoot I was laughing so hard that I cried! I have never met a more hilarious couple, which made shooting them all the more fun. I am so excited about their pictures and can't wait to get more up to show you! Lauren, Chealen.......... I hope you enjoy!!!!

Fall and Family!!!

I had the pleasure of shooting this beautiful family this past Saturday. Jim and Lynn came to me wanting a picture of them with their grandkids. When Saturday rolled around everyone realized how big of a challenge this could be. But, I think everything went great and the kids looked adorable in their matching outfits.

Sneak Peek for Linzie and Steven!!!

This past weekend, I met up with an awesome couple. Linzie and Steven are getting married in October and I cannot wait!! It's going to be a beautiful wedding and I just know that she is going to make a beautiful bride! They are actually getting married on the Alabama/Tennessee game day. Linzie is a Bama fan and Steven is a Tennessee fan. So, it's very fitting for the two. When Linzie and I discussed locations she and Steven wanted to do them in Sewannee. And so we did. I feel that this session was one of the most diverse that I have done to date. In the 2 hours that we shot, we covered a lot of ground and got so many different shots. I am sooo excited about this session and I hope you enjoy!!!!

TuTu Cute!

This past week, I had the pleasure of shooting an adorable baby girl. Madelyn is 7 weeks old and cute as a button. She had several outfit changes and didn't mind at all since she wasn't even awake to notice. The first part of the shoot, she just slept and was the best little model I could ask for and then she got hungry and we made her a bit mad. But who could blame her?? haha. I enjoyed this shoot sooo much and I think the pics will speak for themselves. I wanted to give Courtney and Ryan a sneak peek at their little baby girl! Hope ya'll enjoy!
